Whether you’re picking up your next ball of yarn, browsing handmade gifts, joining one of our workshops or simply popping in for a relaxed afternoon of crafting, we hope you’ll feel right at home.

More than just a craft shop…
Hi! I’m Amber, the face behind The Crafty Cottage.
The Crafty Cottage was born from a dream of creating something that worked around family life. Like many parents, I found myself trying to juggle work with raising two lively boys and I wanted to build a business that allowed me to do something I love while still being there for them - every school run, every event, every milestone.
Creativity has been my happy place and I wanted to create a space where other people could experience that too. Somewhere welcoming, relaxed and inspiring, where children and adults alike can switch off from the hustle and bustle, learn a new skill, make memories and leave feeling proud of something they’ve created.
Everything you’ll find at The Crafty Cottage has been chosen with care - from the yarn and craft supplies to the workshops, parties and drop-in activities.
Running a small business certainly has its challenges but seeing smiling faces, finished creations and growing confidence makes every late night and early morning worthwhile.
Most importantly, The Crafty Cottage is all for my boys. They are my biggest inspiration and reason I took the leap to build something of my own. I hope that as they grow, they’ll see that with a little courage, a lot of hard work and a sprinkle of creativity, dreams really can become reality.
